Just wondering if anyone makes any lowering springs for our cars anymore, or where to find some? I checked ebay and didn't see any on there. Ever since I saw the picture (from a recent post) of that black car that was lowered and had the black wheels, I have been hooked.

Will the Eibachs work well with the SARC struts in normal mode or do they need to be in stiff mode all the time?

According to Eibach they don't work on SHOs because it puts the ride height sensors out of range. The sensors detect suspension position, and with the lowering springs the sensors always think the suspension is compressed, which makes the SARC controller put the struts in hard mode. I have heard that flipping the sensors upside down will correct this problem, but I don't see how that would work. Eibachs will work fine on 99 non-SARC cars.

Kirk recommends that for any car you should cut down the strut shaft to adjust for the lowered height. This will keep the piston in the center of the strut body and prevent the piston bottoming-out.

I use the Eibachs with the SARC struts in stiff mode all the time. There is bottoming out in extreme cases but other wise OK. It is not a suspension set up for pothole ridden roads though.

Yep. One of my winter projects is getting some new SARCs and having them cut down to match the Roush I run.

I had Eibachs put on my 97 a few months ago. I have experimented with SARC on & in the hard mode. I found the ride just a little too jarring in hard mode, so I left the SARC funtional and am very happy with the ride/handling combo. Not to mention that unsightly gap between the fender well & tire.......
