Eibach is a good all around spring so are Moogs at a cheaper price.

Intrax will give you the lowest stance but they are not a progresive spring so they will be stiff all the time while the others will only really stiffen up when aggressively driven.

Struts will make the biggest difference here i think.

Moogs and Monroe Sensatracs are said to be a good combo for the cheapest route of these, the moogs will have to be cut to give you a lower stance.

KYB's GR2s are available for a cheap price but not the best spring for intrax or eibach.

Tokicos and Koni's are the best Springs for Intrax and Eibach the Koni's being the most expensive.

If you check our product feedback section youll get some honest feedback from are members that have a variety of these set-ups.

Good luck on your choice.

if you get springs replace the struts as well. This will save you time and money. If you dont have enough money to get the struts then wait. You could potentially ruin your struts with aftermarket springs. Intrax springs will get you lower. I like mine.

If you want to go lower than what the Eibach's and Intrax offer, you may want to find a set of SHO Shop Linear springs. The offer about a 2.5" and 1.5" drop front and rear. You will need to purchase adjustable rear control arms to get the camber in the rear. You will also drag the bottom of the front bumper cover on driveways and have to creep over speed bumps to keep from whacking subframe connectors. These springs are also very stiff and give a firm ride with Konis.

FYI, intrax are indeed progressive, they are just much stiffer than eibach even when on the "soft" springs. Sho shop and the stockers are the only linear springs for the SHO.

Tokicos with cut Moog springs here.

from looking at Intrax springs, they appear linear, not progressive. Moogs, and Eibachs are progressive.

I have a fresh set of Intrax springs and Tokicos struts on my 92. The Intrax springs are progressive rate. The car gets firmer as you put weight in it (like passengers).
Although they are claimed to be lowering springs, they don't lower much. With 215-60-16's on slicers the tires are about even with the top of the fender in the rear and leave about 1 inch space in the front.
Be careful about lowering the car in the front unless you don't care about the bottom of the bumper cover. I would recommend going with the "out of the box" Intrax's and leave it there.
I got my Intrax from a vender on Ebay for $208, in the door (including shipping).
It's pretty hard to shave much off of that price.

Go with the intrax springs or if you can find a set of the SS springs that would be even better! But good luck on that!

Not if you go with MOOG.

~$100 for a SET of 4 progressive rate coils

Eh, I loved my SHO shop linears, but they do drop the car alot, and can make bumps in the middle of a high speed turn a real pucker producer. My suspension travel also seemed pretty short with the SS linears.

If I could do it again I would have gotten the Intrax. I'd like my car to be lower, but I would have probably scrapped everywhere also.

If you lower your car, get an alighnmet. Simple as that.

I think he's asking when does it become an issue.. If you lower your car enough it can't be aligned properly without camber plates, adjustable control arms, etc..

Also, I'm waiting to see what this does over time to the CV joints. I have Intrax with one removed coil, looks great, but I have a funny feeling what I will find as I add power to the car.

OK, sorry about that.

Well if it means anything, I got Eibach's and had no problem getting an alighnment. I did put in eccentric bushings in the rear control arms, but I think the guys at the shop said they weren't really needed.
