The oil pres. light on my SHO has been comming on at idle so I decided to change the sensor. I also bought a pres. guage that reads the actual pres. I hooked that up and it said about 5-6 psi!!! at idle. When the revs go up, pres. goes up also. The motor is supposed to have a new oil pump....

What should I do? Is there anyway that I can adjust the pres.? Is it possible to install it wrong? I haven't been driving it and won't...untill it's fixed.

This is just a thought....the old motor was missing the rod bearing (thats how I bought it). Could they be related? / how?

Good job not driving it.I run around 11psi at idle and go up at least 12psi for every 1000rpm.It`s rare that the oil pumps fail, but it does happen.

Sounds like rod bearings to me.

How much mileage? They seem to last around 100k.
