Hi guys,

Where should my coolant be on my recovery bottle? I think I have a replacement bottle in the car, and it doesn't have any markings on it to tell where it should be.

Can someone let me know what the graduations are?

Thanks

It is very helpful if you would let us know what year your SHO is.On the GenI their is a sticker on the outside of the bottle with an arrow on it.
On the GenII and GenIII's somebody else will have to chime in as I have not paid any attention to the overflow bottles when under the hood of one of them.

G2's have painted marks on the side of the tank to the rear of the battery. If you can see the antifreeze with the lid open looking straight down in, you're ok. Leave about 3" of airspace to the lid opening. The bottle is much deeper under the battery.

Not really important as long as the end of the hose is submerged by a couple of inches when the outside air and engine are coldest. I keep mine 3/4 full.

If I can see the coolant at all, I'm OK? I've only got about 2" of coolant on the bottom of the tank...

that sticker on the side of the bottle of Gen 1's is useless. Look insside the bottle. when fully hot, it should meet up with the two protrusions on the inside of the bottle. They are knobby things.
