My low coolant light has been flickerin' on and off on occasion. I have plenty of extra in the resivior so I think that some of the gunk in the bottle might have caused a problem with the sensor. How do I remove the storage tank and remove the sensor for cleaning? Can I get a new sensor from Ford or can I just clean this one. I need to know how to do all this on a ATX as I know the MTX's coolant overflow setup if different. Thanks for any help you can provide. :D

For the ATX just disconnect the electrical connector, and yank the sensor out of the tank. Recommend cleaning with electrical contact cleaner, and maybe even a brass brush on the contacts if they're really gunked over. I just did it on a car tonight, and although it was not my choice I used Brakleen (all we had) which seemed to work just fine. There was a ton of crud on the contacts.

Don't forget to clean out the bottle too. Flush with a water hose the siphon down to refill with 50/50 coolant.
