I'm new to the forum. Just wandering if anybody has used low compression cylinders with there supercharger. My sho will be ready in July and that is the only thing besides paint and detailing to do.

Yes, a number of the s/c guys do run lower compression. You can read up on the available options at http://www.shoshop.com While I personally wouldn't recommend buying anything from them, their site does have a lot of information.

The pistons are available aftermarket from JE, Ross, and maybe one other company IIRC. They should have all the specs available if you just call them to order. Expect to pay around $1000.

If you can wait about a week, Fred Hurder of New England SHO Specialists will be back from Florida and will probably be able to add more info for you. He has an s/c '91 with low comp pistons, stage 2 cams, and a whole lot of other mods. He's also located in central MA, about 30 mins from the CT border, so you might want to come up and visit with him. He usually consults for cheap -- free food & drink! :D

Thankyou for your reply and info. I've been dealing with the sho shop for about 4 yrs now, and can honestly say I get the best and best fitting product from them. I've spent 10000.00 already, and spending 4000.00 more in two weeks. My 94 sho will be pretty much new except for the body and the partially rebuilt engine with 30000 original miles on it. Ive been looking, watching and reading about everyones problems for some years now. I have alot of knowledge, and if I don't I ask. Thanks alot!
I would put everything new my car has at the bottom of my message like everybody else does, but it would be easier to put what it doesn't have!

coming soon

I'm really not ready to buy the sc. Just wanted some info. while I wait for my sho to be finished. I'm going to buy a cowl hood from cincysho, and then give to my bro that ones an autobody shop to paint and alter it. I want to get as much air as possible in the engine bay.
thanks!
