When I hit a *** hole or bump(speed bump), the steering wheel becomes loose, and shakes back and forth. I replaced the drivers side tie rod end, because it went bad, do you think if I replace the right one, this "loose" feeling during *** holes and bumps will vanish?

You will need to locate the loose/failing part before replacing anything.

Guessing won't cut it.

Steve,

Do you know of a consolidated explanation detailing how to diagnose such problems? I seem to hear a lot about people who know they have a steering/suspension problem but have no idea how to find out what's wrong. I guess a lot of the parts boil down to the bushings being intact, but what about inner and outer tie rod ends, wheel bearings, ball joints, strut mounts, etc.

Thanks.

thats the way to do it! :D replace everything, and that way you're sure to get whatever it was that was wrong, as well has having a nice brand new suspension as well. :thumb:
