When you say compromised the ride what do you mean?? My main goal out of them is just better handling like I like to race on highway a lot and I don’t wanna run from lane to lane and find my self on a tree on the side of the highwayI can't answer most of that question. I have a set of Megan coilovers on my 15. They did greatly improve the handling but pretty severely compromised the ride like coilovers always do.
You may want to tell these folks what your use case will be. Track vs daily should yield different results. There's a lot of threads on suspension setups on here.
I'm no expert. This is only my personal experience. You feel every inch of road. Every single bump and pothole are major events. At least relative to the stock setup. It turns a pretty decent comfortable ride into not a comfortable ride. When you say compromised the ride what do you mean?? Yea I don’t wanna be breaking my back while driving and I live in ny and there are crazy potholes and messed up roads here so this will be an issue. Thanks for the infoI'm no expert. IMHO the coilovers are not worth it unless you're involved in autox or something like it. I fell victim to wanting the car to be dirt nasty low; and it is. If I had to do it again I'd keep the stock struts and get a shorter spring.
To each his own I guess. I'd probably prefer you were not racing on an open highway.
