Hello,

I'm hoping someone will help me identify certain options (Heated/Cooled Seats, Massaging Seats, Sun Shade...etc) on these cars. I would like to find a vehicle with all the options but I'm not sure what to look for. I'm hoping someone would be willing to share pictures that identify certain options so that I can familiarize myself with the different options what looking at vehicles.

On a side note, I've noticed some vehicles don't have the suede inserts. Does that mean anything? I think I saw that on a 2014 and 2015 (just looking for options). Like, a vehicle without the suede inserts means no Heated/Cooled seats. Another 2014 vehicle had two buttons in the center stack where all other 2014 vehicles I had viewed had one single button (Sony on the button) in the center stack. Or anything someone can point out that would tell me this vehicle has THIS then the vehicle has option X, Y and Z and if the vehicle DOESN'T HAVE THIS then that vehicle doesn't have option X, Y and Z.

A lot of these vehicles I can't put my hands on so I don't want someone to tell me it has option X but it really doesn't and I don't know what to look for to really know for sure. I just want to be educated when looking at these vehicles.

Thank you.

Here is my quick summary anyone feel free to correct me...

Go here and click the "Select Options" section. That will show you the options that can be added and what is included in each.

-SHO Performance Package - Look for Alcantara (suede) steering wheel

-Equipment Group 402A - Look for the power sunshade in the back window or the activation button in the most forward center console cubby

-Navigation - you'll have to power up the unit or look for the maps SD Card in the center console

-Adaptive Cruise Control - Only available with non-PP will need to power on the car and check the dash display

-Multi-Contour Seats - I think a button on the side of the seat

-Moonroof - obvious

-Alcantara Seats - obvious

tgabtg has a pretty good summary. If you look on the left set of the steering wheel buttons the adaptive cruise option will have a “Gap” button that the non-adaptive cars don’t have. This button is used to set how far/close you want to follow traffic ahead of you. Good luck with your search!

It's also informative when car shopping to ferret out what options a car has from looking at pictures and comparing to packages in the original brochures. Discover what the seller might not know. For example, 2013 suede steering wheel = Performance Package. Moonroof = Group 402A.

In other Fords, one might look for the buttons for heated seats, icon on headlight knob for auto headlights, wheels, that only came with a package.

(really, this forum censors "knob"???)

(personally, can't say that I'd want to get myself into a G4 at this point. If it's not a pair of $1500 turbos who's time are up, it's the water pump leak that destroys the engine...)

Massaging seats will have 4 buttons on the side of each seat, non massaging seats there will be three total buttons.

My 2013 PP car has the 402A option, which includes the heated and cooled seats but they do NOT have the suede inserts - they are all shiny black leather. I do have the Alcantara on the steering wheel and the multicontour (massaging) seats. These cars are difficult to tell from pictures alone what options they have.

Yeah, Alcantara steering wheel = PP. Alcantara seats are independent of any other package/option.

I have a 402a package SHO i have been considering selling. The car is a 13 with 76k miles on it. New timing chains, guides, tensioners and water pump at 59k miles. Slotted, drilled rotors, new hub assemblies all the way around last month. Muffler delete. Blowoff valve mod. Ceramic coated and not a ding in the car. Rustproofed and ceramic tint all the way around including the windshield. All the trim is blacked out. The car has a minor shake I have been chasing since the day I bought it hence all the new stuff.

The little invention is a sensor for lane assist, and such...

Also located in the rear.

These buttons are for the rear shade, parking assist (auto park, which I have never mustered the courage to use), and lane assist (which I deactivated because I disliked the feedback it gives me in the stearing wheel. I'll drive the, not a computer...thanks.)

Smaller, top button on the left is for massage function on the seats. They're OK. Nothing to write home about, but not bad.

Last, the wheels. Most PPs come with the cookie cutter flower wheels, which I dislike. These are better, but not by much, imo. Dying for a nice set of 5 spokes.

For what it’s worth, I snatched up a 2014 SHO yesterday with the PP, I have the Alacantra wheel and all leather seats, I just used monroe labels to get the window sticker to see what options it actually came with.

Thank you Kevin81. That's exactly what I was looking for. Pictures to show me what options the car came with. That will make shopping these cars so much easier.

Those sensors are for parking. Lane Keeping uses the camera in the windshield.
