i'm looking into buying new wheels...

i realy like the "gunmetal" with polished lip look..
any suggestions for sites to check out?
at this point it seems like 17"x7.5" are the size for me. (95 atx-- not looking to recalibrate...etc. or race...or lower stance yet)
anyway if you've got opinions let's hear em.

thanx in advance.

Rim size & width wont matter in speedo calibration, just your tire, more specificly your sidewall/tire size. Why not 18x8?(other than more $$$)

What type of style rim in gunmetal are you looking for?

i was at the ford show in carlisle this weekend and i saw a rim from RO_JA / motegi (?), of course nothing in the right size... it was the Formula 5. and i really like that arospeed rs23 gunmetal. (not too comp. savy or i'd post links).

Ok I found pics for both, are you sure they make the Arospeed's in 5lug? Because I only found them in 4lug, or did you just mention them to show what style you were looking for?

In inches, is our bolt pattern 5x4.25" or 5x4.5? Because if they are 5x4.5" the RO_JA wheels below will fit in 18x7 with 45mm offset.

Why not 18? For me, driving on terrible roads, my 17's will do just fine. As for more $$$ try pricing some forged rims, that is where the money goes.

RI, check back on that post for Team Dynamics forged, I don't know if you read it, however they are not going to be ready for about another 2 months. However, they are going to be priced like Volk wheels @ around 4-500 a piece. Much, much less than HRE or Kinesis.

Ok ton wink (*achoo*its Edien*achoo* ).

Our SHO 5x108mm is 5x4.25"(took awhile but I used the 'ole mushy brain), so you cant get those RO_JA rims unless they custom drill(more $$$). I'll look for some more tmw, but in the mean time if you get lazy just look around online for 5x108(5x4.25") rims with 40mm-45mm offset :p .

I see it this way, if you go out of your way to make it a crazy daily driver with boost like you have done, why not finish it off with 18" rims, you can deal with the ride especially with your ride height. My is at least 5x worse what you think yours is, thats why i'm switching to adjustable shocks this year the GR2's arent helping at all. BTW my rides aint much betta construction almost every other week near my roads.

And as far as the rims go I dont plan on buying them to next year, and those are defitnaly good prices, considering i'm looking at 19x8.5" rims now for my TL-S which run @$880ea with polished lip(+tires). So $400-$500ea wont be too bad for next year, when I plan to finally change the look of my SHO(even I think its starting to look played out).

RI-SHO: Do you know what the offset was on the 19" rims you once put on your ride?

Also, how does your Acura compare to the SHO performance-wise?

For my 19's for my TL-S they have 47mm offset. Performance wise I cant really tell it hasnt seen over 85 for 2900miles and i only turned off the traction control off about 4x, I wont run it hard till the 1st oil change. But the ones I drive at work rip those 215/50/17 pretty hard when the traction control off, so i drive mine nice, and test the cars limits on customers at work  .
