Hello, I am from Fargo North Dakota. I have owned a Red 94 MTX SHO for four years now. It has 112000 miles on it (89000 when I bought it). Up until this winter it has been a pretty reliable car. However, this winter seems to have been the breaking point. It has had the following done to it recently.
1. New clutch currently being installed. Clutch was fine, throw out bearing failed. Thought I would do it all at once.
2. New starter, alternator.
3. Three new batteries. Read some posts, looks like it is drawing power from somewere, will get the meter out when car is done with clutch.
Up until now I have had everyone else do the work on it, but you guys and gals have inspired me to start doing some of the work myself. First project will be new wires, plugs and maybe upgraded coil. One of the pulleys is failing. It howls from the serpentine(sp?) belt. This will be my last year driving in the winter as I would really like to hold onto this car for some time. A little long winded I am sure, but just wanted to throw out some facts and hopes and dreams for the SHO. I think you guys are a fantastic source and just wanted to say how much I appreciate what you guys have offered here in your forum. Any Fargo SHO owners out there?
