hey its time to change my rotors and i found that i have a locking lug nut on all four wheels. The previous owner didn't leave one for me so does anyone know where i can find one? I checked a couple tire places....they don't sell them. I checked a ford dealership nearby and they tried 3 different cases of them and none fit my locking lug nut.

Here is a pic of the nut:

Take your car to a welding shop and have them weld 3/4" nuts onto each locknut; tell them to weld through the hole in the nut in case they're not too experienced. Unscrew them with a regular lug wrench and throw them away. Get four used lugnuts from any taurus.

I had misplaced my key once.
The tire shop I've been using had a 'master' key.
They removed all 4 with no damage to the locks.
Try a tire shop.

On my 95 there was a spring clip attached to the tire iron (lug wrench) that held the key for the locking lugs. It may be in your spare tire well with the jack and tire iron.

All you have to do is take a four way tire iron find one thats snug, lightly pound on lock and turn,at leat thats what I did and they were tight. Then get some regular nuts, those locks are pointless.

Back in Michigan ... again.
Your local dealer should've had the correct key  Unless you have some aftermarket locking lugs on there.

In any case, here's what I used to do when this problem came up at the dealership I worked for: Find the smallest sized socket that will slip over the locking lug, then get the next size down and just hammer it onto the lug. It will likely ruin your socket but it should bite into the lug enough for you to take it off with a regular socket wrench.
