V11 was the one that lots of peoples' cars (mine included) would not go into 2nd gear. Last version I tried was v17 which still did not like to consistently shift.Just looking to see what the main differences anyone noticed/knows between the 91/93 octane v11 and v20 (most recent updated tune). Shifting smoother? Any feedback is appreciated.
Haven’t experienced that yet, but all I know is that v20 is much much better than v11 at this point.I installed the V20 tune in July, and have had a couple instances where the car didn't want to shift from 1 to 2. However, it seems fine most of the time, and I can't really justify spending more money on a new tune, especially since I am actively shopping for a replacement (SL-63 AMG).
Haven’t experienced that either and hopefully I don’t. How’s the new tune? Just as powerful, better, worse? Besides the shifting be on point. Any feedback is appreciated.I was running V20 a few months ago and had no problems shifting other than my car would hang in 3rd or 4th after passing someone and id have to use the paddle shifter to upshift which ****** me off. Tryed two different revisions with softer shifts and still wasnt satified. Of course they told me to check my trans fluid then blamed it on traction control even though it didnt do it on stock tune. So I bought an sct and switched to gh. Shifts are right on everytime. Now im just fighting oar lol
Im liking the gh tune alot. I might try some others just to see whats up but im happy for now. I do regret buying the lms tuner because its only good for their tunes. Thats their biggest downfall I think. Im not sure what they're doing that causes problems with shifting but i decided i wasnt gonna donate my car to science while they figured it out. When i first started running there tune it seemed pretty solid but once i started driving my car alil harder i started seeing wierd **** and based on what other folks on here where saying i decided to switch. As far as power goes not really a noticeable difference between the two. I just wanted more natural shifts. If your happy though then roll with it. I wouldnt change tuners just to see if you get some noticeable power gains because you most likely wont. Need hardware for that.Haven’t experienced that either and hopefully I don’t. I’ve been seeing that a lot of people like the GH tune. I only have livernois because the guy before me had that. I uploaded the v20 to the car and it is much better than v11. When I almost redline from 2-3 gear though it still “shutters”. Basically just doesn’t shift smoothly and it’s quite concerning when I wanna use the paddle shifters and shift at almost red like without taking my foot off the gas. Just looking for a equivalent tune in terms of horsepower but just want it to shift as if it were stock and smooth. How much was your GH tune and are you able to redline the gears and have it shift smoothly?Im liking the gh tune alot. I might try some others just to see whats up but im happy for now. That is awesome. I am actively shopping for an E63s. Looking like I cannot get away from twin turbo all wheel drive sedans...lol.I installed the V20 tune in July, and have had a couple instances where the car didn't want to shift from 1 to 2. I think i paid about $500 for the sct tuner and the AO tune. Honestly i dont think ive redlined it. Im sure the gh tune will shift smoothly at any rpm though.I’ve been seeing that a lot of people like the GH tune. I only have livernois because the guy before me had that. For 2022 MB is trying to pass a rebadged S-Class Cabriolet as an SL-Class, with an AWD option. Back seats? Soft top? That is NOT an SL!! I am going to limit my search to the 2017 model year (when they are cheap enough that I can afford one.)That is awesome. I am actively shopping for an E63s. Yes they are. I want a 2020, so hopefully I can pick one up Q1 or Q2 next year. Looking for a lease turn in and will only buy MB CPO. Hopefully the prices decline between now and then. For 2022 MB is trying to pass a rebadged S-Class Cabriolet as an SL-Class, with an AWD option. Back seats? Soft top? That is NOT an SL!! Good luck on your search. Used cars are unfortunately holding value.
