After reading through the other 2013 Taurus threads, it seems to have gotten some negative feedback and all I can say is, it looks better in person. The only thing I'm not too keen on is the new SHO spoiler that is lifted off of the trunk. I much rather prefer the drag style flush spoiler.

Did anyone else also notice the seats in the SHO no longer have suede, but are full leather with a SHO logo stitched into them.

Another major thing that all of the press releases seemed to have overlooked is the SHO gets much needed upgraded brakes all around. It gets bigger rotors and calipers, plus new pad materials. It doesn't say it anywhere, but it's pretty safe to say they are the same brakes as the new Police Interceptor.

From the press release:
Taurus SHO brake system upgrades include a larger master cylinder, revised booster tuning for improved pedal feel, larger front rotors with 19 percent more thermal mass and 67 percent more swept area to help brakes run cooler. Now vented, the rear disc brakes offer 53 percent more thermal mass.

Looks like they did a bit of de-chroming compared to the 2012 model, interesting. Really jealous of that front end and the seats. I prefer my PP wheels to these ones (especially once I finally get them black chromed), and I think I'll def be ordering that SHO insert forward of the passenger/driver doors.
-1 for the spoiler

"The biggest news surrounding the updated 2013 Taurus is the pending addition of Ford's new 2.0-liter EcoBoost four to the engine bay, tentatively rated for the Taurus at 237 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque. A four in the Taurus? Why not, says Derrick Kuzak, Ford's chief product honcho. With the Edge and Explorer set to get a version of the same engine, it makes sense, he says. And the estimated 31 mpg highway number the 2.0-liter EcoBoost is expected to deliver will no doubt help with the marketing spin." - Motortrend

Not sure how I feel about this...

I actually really like the wheels. I bet those ould never fit on my 96. But other than the same hp I really like it, there is deffenitly an improvment in brakes. I also believe the handling will be better as well

There still the 3.5 ecoboost, it's just another option. If I didn't own my SHO and it was an option I would have strongly considered it. 10 more mpg sounds pretty good to me. Im getting tired of filling up every 250 miles.

250 miles? larger capacity tank or less weight would address that issue. That would bother me a bunch. I get that in my 1990 but I beat the living **** out of it every second I drive it, however it makes nowhere near the power of the newer SHO.

FYI, I'm pretty sure the 2.0L EcoBoost will only be available in FWD, just like in the Explorer and Edge.

not sure if I like that grill yet
trust me it looks alot better in person the only thing i have to say is that they should have done the bottom section in the same finish.

I give a thumbs down on the lifted spoiler. The car is an AWD, for areas that need the traction, such as we folks in Michigan because of the snow. We have to brush the snow off our cars every day during winter season, and twice a day if we don't have a garage. The lifted spoiler will make it difficult to brush several inches of snow off of the trunk . . . twice a day.

Not to mention, it would seem to me, that the racing persona that a lifted spoiler would give the car, would tend to catch the eye of state troopers. If I were a trooper and were to pull over one car, from a pack of cars doing the same speed, I'd pull over the car that looks like it was built for maintaining extremely high speeds. To quote a president, it's better to walk softly (but carry a big stick).
