does anyone have a lip seal protector set i could borrow, or rent, and possibly valve body alignment pins, i really don't wanna spend another 150 bucks only to use the stuff once, i just dumbed 400 today and got a master rebuild kit, 3 acumulator pins, od band and intermediate band, superior lub damn, and shift calibration kit, and i still have to buy damn torque converter, getting a little strapped, so if anyone could help me out it would be great, thanks. He's talking about auto tranny rebuilding tools. I have no idea what they are, but that's what he's talking about.

AX4S ATX Rebuild links and tips:

In addition to the lip seal protector set, you will also need a spring compressor.

It is also highly recommended that you replace the TSS and VSS sensors and the EPC solenoid. The MLPS is also suggested, however, since it is relatively easy to replace in-vehicle, you may choose to wait.

See this thread: http://www.shoforum.com/showthread.php?t=61844&highlight=bulkpart for parts data.

And for my saga, see http://www.shoforum.com/showthread.php?t=585588 and http://shoforumadmin.proboards98.com/index.cgi?board=shohelp&action=display&thread=1143584798 at the temp forum:

thanks for the input, i have a spring compressor, i went back over to the tranny shop and the guy showed me how to do it without having to buy "fancy tools" he used what looked like a feeler guage with some mixture of STP oil treatment and ATX fluid, and slightly cocked the pison and went around it, then used air to verify the seal is making good contact, and not damaged doing it this way, he said just have to take your time and be carefull, so i guess sunday night i will begin my full re-build with shift correction package and lub damn. As far as dumbing 400, lol i meant to say dumping 460 actually was the amount of the invoice. hehe but dumbing has a nice ring to it, lmao. thanks guys for all your input.

yeah, was i wrong, i don't know what brand, gm, import or what, but it sure as **** dosn't work with the axode, i tried with the old seal as not to wreck any new seals, and there isn't any way in **** it can be done without the proper tools. i think mabey there is another tranny shop in town, i am gunna go see there first before i go spending money, see if they can do the pistons for me. i'm just going nuts today, to much crap going on at once, and i can only be in one place at a time. thanks guys, i'll figure it out i hope, lol.
