#1 Oil Abuser
hey I briefly read the sticky and all, but I'd like to join the club
I know there aren't many members down by me but given notice and proper running car at the time I can drive for some fun...
I have I guess what u would consider a mutation, its a 3.8, I like the torque and sound of it, sounds very different then the SHO, with my current exhaust setup it sounds like a porsche almost, nice clean smooth 6 cylinder noise.
I would like to swap in a 5 speed one day, if anyone can help out on parts or wants to lend a hand have at it. I've had my car for over 5 years now and I've really done a lot to it, plus I can drive the **** out of it, I'd really like to take a nice tight road track one day and let people know what a SLO can do.
my signature is current with about what I have on my car now.... it doesn't look the best and needs some paint and finishing body work but it runs like a charm and I've built it to really be a car that you enjoy driving above all else.
Future plans one day I'd like to get more power, either Im going to pull my engine out and put a high lift cam in it, bigger injectors, higher compression, ported heads and a special intake manifold.... or im going to remote mount a turbo on it.......
I really love my car like it was my kid and I'm a VERY cool person to hang out with, I look forward to meeting up with a bunch of Taurus enthusiasts one day to have a great time.
Hey if any other taurus enthusiasts within a 100 miles or so of me(palm beach area) want to meet up and meet me let me know, it would be a blast.
I work as a transmission mechanic, although I haven't really touched taurus transmissions too much, honestly I don't like working on the 3.8 too much compared to other cars so I stick with them. I normally work on Hondas, Chevy and Ford RWD vehicles or Mercedes. I have an AWESOME high quality tool set too if you guys ever meet up to do work on each others cars you really should let me know, I have alot of Snap-on and MAC tools, impact swivel sockets, good extensions... it makes working on cars much easier and faster...
hit me up, I look forward to good times!
