hey I briefly read the sticky and all, but I'd like to join the club

I know there aren't many members down by me but given notice and proper running car at the time I can drive for some fun...

I have I guess what u would consider a mutation, its a 3.8, I like the torque and sound of it, sounds very different then the SHO, with my current exhaust setup it sounds like a porsche almost, nice clean smooth 6 cylinder noise.

I would like to swap in a 5 speed one day, if anyone can help out on parts or wants to lend a hand have at it. I've had my car for over 5 years now and I've really done a lot to it, plus I can drive the **** out of it, I'd really like to take a nice tight road track one day and let people know what a SLO can do.

my signature is current with about what I have on my car now.... it doesn't look the best and needs some paint and finishing body work but it runs like a charm and I've built it to really be a car that you enjoy driving above all else.

Future plans one day I'd like to get more power, either Im going to pull my engine out and put a high lift cam in it, bigger injectors, higher compression, ported heads and a special intake manifold.... or im going to remote mount a turbo on it.......

I really love my car like it was my kid and I'm a VERY cool person to hang out with, I look forward to meeting up with a bunch of Taurus enthusiasts one day to have a great time.

Hey if any other taurus enthusiasts within a 100 miles or so of me(palm beach area) want to meet up and meet me let me know, it would be a blast.

I work as a transmission mechanic, although I haven't really touched taurus transmissions too much, honestly I don't like working on the 3.8 too much compared to other cars so I stick with them. I normally work on Hondas, Chevy and Ford RWD vehicles or Mercedes. I have an AWESOME high quality tool set too if you guys ever meet up to do work on each others cars you really should let me know, I have alot of Snap-on and MAC tools, impact swivel sockets, good extensions... it makes working on cars much easier and faster...

hit me up, I look forward to good times!

p.s. I should take my pics of my beast, I really don't like how it looks now overall cause i still have the POS slo side door moldings on with the sho kit... so that looks odd... but my car is silver with black body kit... it makes a real nice look i think... the whole theme of my car is black/silver or billet aluminum stuff....

If I get my motor mounts replaced by then, I might hit up Moroso Wednesday night, the 17th. Gonna take a stab at getting in the 14s.

Join us May 20th in Jacksonville for our monthly meet or if that is too little notice (don't worry, we post meets almost a month in advance like the couple posted here right now) come up to Gainesville for the road course track day on June 17th. Only Tara and I will be driving from the FSHOC at this time but a couple more spots may open up for us and you could snag it.

welp sorry for my language but ****

my car just got totalled today, that car was the only thing I loved, it was more then just pieces of metal put together... it was a machine that purred. Now its gone forever.... I almost feel like just ending it man, I can't hook up with this girl I really like because she's stuck in a ****** relationship and Im trying to show her how much I care for her and want to be with her, then on top of all those bad feelings, my car gets totalled.........

maybe I can buy a real SHO now, I'd pop a boner for a MTX, anyone know of anything for sale around let me know ASAP....

Sorry about your car. We all on here have cars we care for deeply. Is anything salvagable? The Taurus always seem to be the winner with its superior structure that sacrafices its life for its passangers.

on a side note I have a well running and modded 94 ATX for sale

After hearing this I can work you a deal to get you back in the spirit, and you could always do the ATX ->MTX swap on it down the road and have a 3.2 and the same time.

Would a new front clip solve everything or did the passanger compartment take a great deal of damage as well?

If you think it is rebuildable I can hook you up with body parts. We have another gen 1 that we could part our or even sell-problem is it has no title right now (its a salvage title that we have not received and it is not worth requesting the title at the tag office for almost $200)

I'd like to help you out, let me know what I can do.

welp I really like the Gen1, it just looks more old school and aggressive, but I like Gen2 door panels and such better... they both look cool though.

I think its pretty well totalled man, I haven't really check it out but the whole front where the bumper shocks attach, the fender, the pax door doesn't line up like it used to at the back top corner of it... the hood is severaly hurting.. I can't get my hood open yet but everything is pushed back. I just built a big like 6' cubic box of 3/4" MDF wood... right behind my rear seat with 2 15" subs, the box slammed forward and bent up that center metal piece behind the rear seat and the top deck area is all bent from it, that was a heavy box.

I wouldn't mind an ATX sho, i do work at a transmission shop, it wouldn't be too bad to do the 5 speed swap would it? you've done it yourself I see... Im sure it would be a **** of a lot easier then putting a 5 speed on my 3.8 would have been; as it would be almost a bolt on modification I assume with all the proper parts.

welp I pulled together with my dad and I can have like 2500 bucks tomorrow to buy a car, but thats all I have to work with if he lends me a lot of money, its a lot to ask of him, but he knows how I like cars, I work for him at our family transmission shop. I don't know how much you want for that Gen2, maybe later I can come up with more or find something else if you really need more then what I can come up with. I tell you you will be doing a good favor for a good honest person. I'd feel good about buying a SHO from an enthusiast too. Atleast you know the car will goto a good home and be taken care of and loved.

now I see that thread.. if it runs good man, I atleast need it to run 2 or 3 weeks with no major problems and drive it back to west palm beach. I'll need to get back on my feet before I can start spending money on the car.

hey I just re read that thread u posted, and consider me very seriously interested in buying it. Not to be mean but im just not feeling those wheels and would like the slicers, mine might be ok I don't know I could even bring my wheels and put them on it. 2g's with the Carbon hood sounds nice, **** u said u would work on a deal with me but honestly that doesn't seem too bad..

keep in touch or reply back, I'll really buy that car if we can work something out. Thanks a million

I also just happen to have a MTX pedel set with the clutch cable lying around I can through in if you want the ATX. The rims are very unique. I didn't like them at first but now I really like the look of it. Even still, the slicers are hard wheels to top and I have the origional set with Goodyears on them with over 50% tread. The car is great and I drive it all the time. I just took it to Bithlo last Sunday for the drags and it was fine.

Sucks yours sounds like it was really smashed up. It doesn't sound like it is worth trying to revive, but anything is possible. Also, you are very lucky that speaker box did not go through the back seats and hit you or the front seats...that would have hurt you for sure.

I'll take you by my shop about 2 miles east of I-95 off that same road and show u my smashed up SLO if you can bear to see it if you have any time to waiste..
