damn i was hoping i would be the first to try it. most likely it will be illegal but if you add a switch to it you can turn it on and off when ever you want so it would be nice to have for shows and just to show off.

I think it would be fine as long as the light was red. It wouldn't be any different then driving at night and your driving lights being on. It would make the vehicle more visible if anything and it's on the rear of the car so it wouldn't be distracting to on coming drivers. Or if you had it wired up so it came on when you hit the brakes or something. They sell hitch covers on trucks and stuff that do that. I'd say red would be fine, any other color may cause a problem. Bet it would look sharp though!

Wow- a Sunfire rip! Go figure.

What are y'all going to do if Alex ever sells that car and buys an SHO?

(good point though!)

I think the best method of going about doing this without being rice would be to remover the SHO bumper cover...Sand down behind the S H O so that its thin enough to let light through, and have a bright light shine behind it..

I think I saw a white SHO that had this in a picture somewhere..It actually didnt look to bad...IDK

Oh yea,

Me?

Maybe it would be stated better as a "humorous coincidence" that the post after Alex, a Sunfire was brought up...

Just making jest!

LOL, I didnt even notice the pic. I was just thinking of cars that have lighted emblems on them from the factory, don't 4th gen firebirds have it too?

I mean, it's much better than say the light bar on the front of a sable or some other pontiacs.

I do not have a lighted bumper, but I do have reflective decals inserted in the embossed "SHO" portions of my bumper and front doors. It gives the appearance of being lighted. The decals are white, so they do not show during the day.
