My week:
-One week ago i ran my buddies Magnum R/T.
-That sunday the SHO started ticking.
-This weekend took the valve covers off to check the tensioners...nada.
-Now its knocking....poor #3 cylinder.
-Ordered Rod bearings.

Who would have thought that after 169k miles of hard driving that they would go.

Well, I tossed in the bearings. So far so good. Just dont like the chatter when its fist started in the morning..like it has no oil pressure for the fisrt 3 seconds.
But I did find a gen III parts car for $500.00. Yay :(

Did you unplug the DIS and crank the motor for 15 seconds? That is usually done to build the pressure before actually starting.
