Recently (in the past day or 2) there has developed a rather loud squeak from my engine bay. It is coming from the left hand (drivers) side of the car so it is not any of the belts. I honestly have no idea as to what could be causing this. It sounds like it may be coming from the clutch area. Anyone have any guesses or ideas? thanks.

It's time to replace your clutch belt, recommended at 120k.

Seriously....it can be your sway bar bushing, end link, or tie rod.

lol...should I also replace my headlight fluid while im doing that clutch belt?

What confuses me is that this squeak makes itself very evident while the car is just sitting there idling. So wouldnt that rule out any of the above?

Well it definately has to do with the clutch itself because when i push in the clutch pedal it goes away. I have to replace my clutch anyway. I didnt really need another reason to do it, but i guess my car is gonna keep complaining until I treat her right...who draws the comparison between cars and gfs/wifes saying that the cars never complain or *****? :hpoop:

ya when i had my 89 sho it had a little sqeaking noise coming from that side. since it was my first car and i didnt know anything about it i let it slide and about 9-10k miles lata it started to be a big grinding sound and about 3-4k miles lata it turned out to just be black smoke coming from that side of the engine and the car not moving anymore. when i brought it to the shop finally it ended up being the thow out bearing which inturn not wokring properly said to burn out the rest of the clutch. i lucked out cause the clutch was just installed like 3k miles before the noise so it was covered under the techs warranty lol.
