Well... SMD LED's fit the bill all the way around... saftey = they are brighter, reliability = their leds and there are 12? so if 1 goes out, in a million hours, you still have 11. And "stance / apperance" they are pretty sweet..

I love how bright those tag lights are... I'm also thinking of doing the front turn signals, as I've seen some of those amber 3156's and 194's... If those are the right #'s... they keep sticking out in my head..

Not these: LED's on left, regular 3156 bulb on right.

Yea, when I finally got the right LED reverse lamps for my truck and installed them, I was a bit disappointed cause they put out less light. However, they are directional, pointing straight out back, so they don't take advantage of the reflector at all like the stockers. If I got SMD ones with lights all around, it might be a different story.

I just ordered a set too.
Can't wait to see it. I might upgrade every light on the car as well.
I'll be pilling the stuff, because the car is in storage until snow melts.

Got mine today. A bit surprised at the weight of the tail-light. My headlights were like feathers compared to OEM housings lol. I guess they are solidly built then!

Cant wait until I throw them in the SHO....in 3 months or so :|

What is funny... with my UDP, and my radio / heater / defrost on.. my light flickers like a bulb is out, until I give her a little gas... then she slows back down to normal... lol Never seen it act like that.. :)

But yea that resistor block is as hefty as I've seen in a long time for something that is such a low voltage / wattage application. I ziptied mine to the post that holds the bumper cover up. Run the tie between the wires and point them down, so no water seeps into them, would be my sugguestion.

Gotta keep in mind with all aftermarket type housings... you must seal them with black or clear RTV.

anyone who DIDNT run into any problems yet with water/moisture buildup?

I actually taped off two of the holes, and just simply blew into the open one and it appeared to be tight on the set I got. I was thinking of using some model cement to seal them up if needed.

Then again.. it hasn't been above 32 for most of us to know.. lol

I didn't add any RTV to mine and they've never had a problem, moisture doesn't get in them. Going on 1 year now.

Get $10 bucks off your purchase!

I filled out a review for the LED tail lights and they gave me a coupon code for $10 bucks off any purchase over $50 bucks.

I was going to snag a set of GTS headlight covers ($56 bucks for the SHO covers) but shipping to Canada was $33 + UPS will tack on brokerage fee's. By the time I would get them, they would be $100 lol.

Coupon Code: VOTE10

If you havent bought the tail lights yet, you just got $10 bucks off ;)
