Just got mine today, finally. They look great. Now I just have to wait until the spring when I take my car out of storage to try them out :(

Mine didn't come with any paperwork either, but I noticed the resistor blocks came with double sided foam tape on them so you can stick them where ever.

An no, they don't make it faster, but they make it safer since the LEDs will light up a lot faster than the standard bulbs (have someone hit the brakes on your SHO and notice the difference between the LED 3rd brake light and taillamps). That could be the difference between getting rear ended or not, especially with more and more people tailgating these days (at least around me it seems). Plus, like Eric said, it helps update the look of the car.

Exactly why I think all new cars should come with LED brake lights.

Makes me love California :p Put a coat of wax on my '95 this past weekend with the temp in the mid 70s.

Just going to play devil's advocate here cause I'm killing some time...

LED taillights are too bright, as are HID's. Everytime I'm behind a car with LED taillights at a traffic light I think to myself I'm going to be blind in 20 years cause of these f^(<ers. Hondas and Toyotas are the worst.

And don't even get me started on LED traffic lights, they're honestly more dangerous than the old ones. Ever driven through a green one at night when the ground is wet? You can't see beyond the light, there could be a pedestrian, animal, stopped car with no lights just on the other side as I go blowing through at 50-60 mph. Anyone not mentally "with it" enough to notice a traffic light shouldn't be driving in the first place. It's sad we have to make them brighter.

I don't want my car to look 10 years newer. Not for me says I.

I thought that was just me. I can't see SHIT because those lights are too bright in those conditions.

Brighter means you notice them though, right? With so many ways to be distracted these days with phones, mp3 players, etc. It becomes really important for people to see you braking, especially if it's hard in an emergency situation. But as JH said, to each there own I guess.

Seeing as my cobra calipers brake too damn well.....i think giving those behind me a fast blinding light to warn them of my screeching halt is a much needed courtesy.

I've already had a few issues with people almost slamming into my rear end because i can stop fairly well and they have their head up.....well, you know.

Apparently mine came in the mail this afternoon, but I won't be able to go home and open till I get home from work at 10. Either way, my car is too in storage so the wait till spring begins.

I like mine alot :D I also got a pair of SMD LED Reverse "bulbs" too. If your going for a "stance" look go with the SMD LED's. If you prefer Funcion/safety over stance then get regular LED's.

Nightshade them Eric :thumb:

Oooo... that's tempting.... wish they weren't so expensive... lol I bet that would look better than trying to nightshade a red lens... my nighshaded OEM lights are pretty dark just because of it trying to look black, and not a black cherry color..

Are the red lights the same red leds and a red lens? If thats the case, a clear set night shaded would look brighter than a red set... too bad I can't find a set of those Lund covers..

To be honest, At night, the red looks a little night shaded.

I was planning on getting these tinted with film... but they look great the way they are.

Nice! That's kinda funny because I just received a set of non-SMD LED bulbs with 16 LEDs on each I ordered to replace the reverse lamps in my truck and I ordered the 3156 style because Sylvania's replacement bulb guide said my 08 F350 had 3156's. Turns out Sylvania was wrong and they're 921s. So I had to order another set, but then I realized the 3156's will fit perfectly in the reverse lamps of the SHO! Then it'll have the all LED look like yours, just more directional.

Yes Eric I think the red ones are the same (not a black housing though) with a red lens. I don't think going all out black would look good, but rather a tint of them with nightshade. Do eeet.

"stance" look

What does this mean?

I just received mine and they look like a very good product easily comparable to the OE product.

I always liked the functionality of some really bright ass reverse lights, espically having some 15% tint on the car, it helps to see things. The brighter the better for those reverse lights.
