Leatherique, is worth the $?

I have very hard leather and I am looking for something to bring my Leather back to life and I am thinking about buying Leatherique but I want to know if anyone here has used this product. I want to know how well Leatherique works and if anyone would recomend it. Of coures I want to know if it is worth the money because I don't feel like blowing my money.

I have never used Leatherique, but I have used just about everything else. I was recommeding two options previously. Both are from major leather chemical suppliers. One was named Leather Refinishing Technologies. LRT has since gone into partnership with Recon Products. I believe the website is www.reconproducts.com. They have prematched colors, so color matching won't be a huge issue if you are totally respraying the seat. The other company is Refinish Coatings. I have used both products and would probably go with LRT, because of the prematch. Leatherique has been used by a couple of the forum members with success, but I can say that it is not the equal of these two products.

I don't want to respray or recolor the seate I just want to get them to feel like leather again instead of the cardboard feeling they have to them right now. I want to make them feel like new again and I was wondering if anyone as used leatherique got the results I am looking for.

I have used leatherique. If your seats are really hard it will take some time (and some sandpaper) to get them to soften up but it will work. The key is to not try and rush the process. You will get nowhere if you try and skip steps.

With sandpaper! The leather in SHOs (and 99% of all cars) is painted from the factory. To top it off most "leather conditioners" contain a lot of silicone. Those 2 things combined will leave your leather dry and hard if it spends any time in the sun. I have found (along with other people) that if you lightly wet sand the leather using the oil and 400 to 600 grit paper you will breakdown the layer of crap and really help work the oil into the leather. I would only try this after trying to let it soak in on it's own since the procedure is usually only used when your going to refinish the leather.
