1. Cut a hole in a box.

oh wait, wrong one.

1. Go to a junkyard.

2. Find a taurus that has nice trunk weatherstripping. It doesn't have to be a SHO, it can be any Taurus or Sable from the same generation.

3. Take the weatherstripping off. It's pretty self-explanatory.

4. Put it on your SHO.

5. No more leaky trunk!

hope this helps :thumb:

Also check the seal around your tail light wing nuts and such, and for seam sealer that has cracked and is letting moisture in.

They are also available new aftermarket - I put a new Ford one on mine a few years ago - not sure if they are still available there anymore or not.

You need to use a hose and make sure that is the problem. As was stated, water tends to leak in through the body seams and the tail lights too.

If your trunk trough has dry, cracked sealer that could be the cause as well.

What year is your car?
If its a gen 2, I solved the leaky trunk by using clear silicon under the molding
around the rear window glass. That was where my leak was coming from.

tail lights for me. Used 1/4 inch self sticking weatherstrip from Home Depot. You can walk it around like pinstriping and it is cheap.
