The car has been sitting in Philadelphia for close to 5 months now, but I did and do start it everytime I get back to Philly, from D.C., which is every month or so. I took the car out on the road this past weekend, about 35 miles, and as I returned back home I noticed some smoke coming from under the hood. I assumed it was gas because that is what it smelled like and the smoke was coming from around the fuel rails or somewhere from under the intake manifold. I was just wondering if you guys had a way for me to actually find where the leak is coming from? Should I just change out all of the fuel lines and the FPR? Will I need to take off my intake manifold inorder to get to these lines or is there a way to fix this without taking off the intake manifold? Where can I get these replacement parts from or could I just use some generic fuel lines? I greatly appreciate all of everyones help and I apologize if I posted this thread in the wrong category.

I have checked the car, under the hood, while it was running and I couldn't really see where it was coming from but the smell of fuel and some smoke was coming from around where the DIS module is. Is there a fuel line close to there? Well I will be heading back to Philly this weekend and I will take a closer look. Thanks for the advice Tominos.

Ive got a used FPR (pressure regualtor) If your interested LMK

My fuel dampener randomly started leaking out of the little black ****** on the top of the bell shaped thing.

Ironically enough, this was litterally 2 hours after I bought the car when it began leaking

That next day was my first trip to the boneyard for SHO parts......Awwww

i would check the schrader (bicycle tire) valve on the on the fuel rail first; prone to leakage and can be replaced yourself for about $1.

if the FPR or any other items have been removed/reinstalled on the fuel rail, it is probable that the copper cruch washers were not replaced.

Check and make sure the motor mounts are in good shape. i had that happen to me, and it turned out the rear motor mount wasn't intact, when i threw it in reverse, the engine shifted and tore the return fuel line asunder. i got this patched by a local ford shop.

luck to you
