This afternoon for some odd reason, my Lamp Out light came on but I do not have any lights out. It flickered (no pattern) for a minute (seemed to flicker as I went over bumps) and then stayed on solid. The light goes off when the car is in park or neutral and even when the lights aren't on. The Lamp Out light doesn;t come back on immediately after re-starting car either. It cam come on in the same fashion this evening as it did earlier in the day. I tested the brights and the light stayed on (manual suggested that) and again, no lights are out. I did notice that a couple of times my right or left flasher didn't work, and/or my hazards didn't flash.

Any ideas? Is it electrical/connection?
It was raining today, so I suppose moisture could have something to do with it, but how do I know for sure?

Thanks as always!

I am wondering if it is a moisture issue. Each time it has happened it has been raining or my car was just washed. I don't understand why it is doing it now, as i wash my car religioulsy and it has rained a bunch here in MN.
All of my lights are fine. I am going to have to look deeper into this I guess. I do have a broken piece on one of my rear lights, maybe too much wanter is getting in during drain-off from trunk area. I will maybe try to seal it and see what happens.

The lamp out indicator monitors ALL of the exterior lights except fog lamps and license plate lights. First, turn OFF the Autolamp feature. Step on the brakes. If the light comes on, you have a brake light out. Next, foot off of the brake pedal, turn on the PARKING lights only. If the lamp out lights up, you have a parking light burnt out. Could be front, could be rear. Turn on headlights, and same deal. If lamp out lights up, you have a bad headlight. If it lights up with highbeams on, you have a highbeam lamp out. Pretty self-explanatory.

Adding to Rob's comments, if none of the actual lamps tested are out, then the fault is in the monitoring circuit for that particular set of lamps. You will then need the EVTM to correctly understand and diagnose the circuit.

I have done all that and I am coming to this conclusion. I am only having the light come on when it is raining, or if I wash my car. Water must be getting in somewhere. I just dont understand why it is a problem now. I did just have my car worked on, but nothing in relation to the exterior lighting. I did just replace my radiator... could somthing have been interfered with during that application?

Perhaps on the 94, but not on the 95. On my 95, the module does not monitor:
1) Inner brake lights
2) Front parking lights
3) Fog lamps
4) Licence lamps
5) Cornering lights
6) Front turn signals
7) Reverse lights
8) High beams
9) Side marker lights

Edit: just checked the 92 EVTM. The 92 lamp out system monitors the same circuits as the 95.
Edit 2: Added side marker lights - thanks CamarOK

yeah.... none of the "outter" parking lights are affected by the circuit. What are they called? The Side markers?
