i would ue monroe sensatracs.
I have the KYB's with Intrax springs and they seem to be pretty good. The front is starting to get weak but I expected that. For stock springs, they'll probably hold up very well.

:omgsho: intrax and kyb. how does it handle the high spring rate? do you pogo alot? ill be using monroe sensatracs and b&g springs.

I wouldnt run the KYB's with intrax unless you want to replace your struts every other month. If you want Intrax, your going to want Koni's or something quite similar.

It doesn't pogo that bad at all. Not enough to make me hate them. It handled track day very well and rides great on the hwy.

I'll upgrade to Koni's next time around, but for the price of the KYB's, I'm very happy.

Aren't the Monroes softer than the KYBs? I'm assuming the SHO had different struts than the "standard" Taurus, and that the Monroes are made for the standard car.

To add another choice to the conversation, I installed a set of Gabriel Gas Struts(front and rear) on my 91' about a year ago. They were bought off E-bay at a very cheap price, but they have proved to provide a very nice combination of control and comfort that I have found very enticing. I highly recommend them for anyone's daily driver. :thumb:

I run monroes on -1.75 cut moogs and they are great . I've only had them in for 1500 miles or so .

I have seen a few sets of low mile kybs that where already junk come into work . Heard good things about these.

Ummm IIRC there is no SHO specific strut in the aftermarket in terms of kyb and monroe sensa-trak. If you are interested in the monroes keep your eye on amazon.com as they have frequent sales. I scored a set for my SLO for 27 bucks each with free shipping about a year ago.
