If one of you recieve a bag with knucle braces that does NOT contain any bolts or has a set of braces with a small 'knick' or 'notch' turned in them, please contact me. It appears to have been a bag mis up for some custom threads.

Both of mine have a notch on the end also and I did NOT order custom threads either... shrug Did you contact Todd, Tim?

I got no bolts, one of the braces has a diagonal line etched on the flat machined out area. but I did order custom threads. I will check tomorrow if it's the right thread pitch and diameter. Also, there are notches at one end of both of them, it looks like the "Left Hand Thread" code type of notch on the hex portion, it's on the end opposite of the flat machined out area. shrug

Maybe that was the 'nick' he was talking about Kurt, as mine have bolts. I figured the notch in mine was for clearance.

EDIT: I just saw the pics in the other thread, and mine appear to be just as they should.

Thanks for the replies guys,

Only ONE of you MAY have the wrong set, trust me.

The big, milled cut out on them is on all of them, the set with the other threads has a very small nick or V turned in it near one end. We're not talking the threads showing through the milled area. They all have that, but the ones with the larger threads DO have this at a very pronounced height. I believe it is also the only bag shipped with NO bolts and may have been marked with 1/2-13 on the front.

My money is on the one with no bolts, please CAll me today and we can review it. Thanks. 480-967-7901

** Quick test- if the bolts you were sent don't thread in properly, they are the alternate parts!! **

Todd,
I just called, got the answering machine. I left my numbers. Post what time you will be calling back so I can be around to take it. Looking at the above pictures, I have the "notches", It looks like a LHT code notch.

Kurt,

If you have the braces with the cut on one end that you have ID'd as common to 'left hand thread' (good call!) and no bolts in the bag, then these are the proper 1/2-13 threads as ordered.

Ya, but the bolts on the contol arms are 1/2" - 20's.
Do you have a set that is 1/2" - 20? I'll call you in the morning. shrug

You are on your own for hardware in this instance as I have no way of knowing your needs nor are they of the original spec. Get some that are simply the same length.

Todd,

I got bolts and washers in my bag. I went to Lowe's and pulled a 1/2-13 thread bolt off the shelf and it wouldn't fit. The bolts that came in the bag measure 3/8" diameter and fit the brace. I'm sure I have the wrong one. If you really want me to I'll pull the bolts off my car to be sure, but at this point I'm 99.9% sure I have the wrong ones. I'll take better pictures for you too if that'll help.

No wonder Todd is getting confused, he dealing with the dueling SHO Kurt's. Hey Kurt how are you doing? Have not seen you since Tulsa. I'll call Todd again and see if we can get this straightened out.

Okay Kurt,

This is the scoop. Todd indeed got confused because we are both named Kurt, and we both ordered custom threads. So since I got yours, I'm going to send them directly to you, and he is going to make me up some 1/2"-20's for me. Please e-mail or PM me your address and phone number so we can coordinate. This has been okayed with Todd, I just got off the phone with him.

Kurt~~
