Thanks to those who have sent payment for their braces. I've got about 8-10 of them thus far. Please don't panic if I don't reply to the PayPal transfers.

I plan to cut orders on the 31st. All will be run the first of the month and shipped out asap after that.

Deadline is Friday midnight. No payment by then and it's no go.

Sorry to be so blunt, but some have had deposits on this for nearly two weeks by then and it's only fair to them to hold the closing date to what was published.

If anyone is intereseted, now is the time. Thanks in advance. I'll list the purchasers to be sure I have them all on Monday. Unless anyone cares if their name appears here....

*****URGENT and IMPORTANT********

The standard thread for these is metric 12mm, one person has indicated to me that they need Standard 1/2" thread (don't recall the pitches at this time) for their lower control arms (must be someone elses as mine used the 12mm bolts so you didn't have to drill the knuckle- jab!) SO, if you want YOURS to anything but the normal METRIC thread you best contact me on this asap. Thanks.

BAH!! My control arms were from the forum member at Purdue(Leahy?). I can't remember his name, he made them himself and the arms are uninstalled sitting in the back seat of my SHO. My SHO is sitting under a foot of hard, crusted snow.

Thanks to all who purchased the knuckle braces.

The 'sale' is closed.

I'll post a list of purchasers when I get home on Monday. Please confirm if you are NOT listed on this name list.

Also, as mentioned, you MUST let me know if you need any thread other than the stock metric size.

what are the knuckle braces?
They are pretty much a race only mod. The rear knuckles on the SHO have a small chance of breaking during competitive driving.

Here's the list I have at this time for the parts run. As there are more than originally expected I'm working with a shop with automated machines rather than doing them by hand as would have been the case with three or four orders.

If your name is NOT on this list AND you sent payment for a set please contact me via email- NOT A PM- and we'll get it figured out.

Hrinsin
Grande
Metros
Varney
Wieland
Pappas
Lewis
Nimz
Kegel
Donelson
Dansie
Teixeira
Nunnally
SHOSpeed Ent
Perfetti (2)
Berard
Gutzka (T)
Ramirez (T)

Lastly, again; if anyone wants or need threads other than the stock 12mm thread you MUST let me know asap.

To date I have not had ANYONE needing a change of thread to these parts for alternate control arms. If you have not yet contacted me on this, you must do so via PHONE today as parts are in process. If you don't know then you're probably ok, but if you ever drilled out the factory knuckle you better check NOW.

Todd,

I just saw this this morning. Did you get my e-mail letting you know the thread pattern for my bolts? They are 1/2"-13 thread (mcmaster-carr # 91257A722)

Hope it's not too late.

Shipping and istallation.

The braces will be going out today. Most anyhow as bolt qty is limited at this time. Bolts will be metric 8.8s rather than the 10.9s used a long time ago. Reason is in hoping they bend if you hit something- let's hope this is not the case however. I'm confident that 8.8 is sufficient.

Installation is pretty simple; remove the two stock bolts (not the reduced shank for bending) and place the brace between the ears of the knuckle with the cut out aligned to clear the lower portion of the strut, fit the new bolts into the control arm and then into the brace. Add some blue loctite and torque them up to 60lbs. That's about it.

Thanks, but I'm still unsure how this works or where it goes. I've read the descriptions a couple of times and I'm still lost shrug
