Knocking after changing intake

Ok I put this up on the TaurusClub site and figured you guys may know more since this site is dedicated to the SHO.

I got a painted intake off of a local guy and installed it over the weekend. Before my motor was very quiet but now it sounds like it has a knock. I dont know if something is loose or what but it has me worried. Any idea what may be causing this? Like I said with the intake that was on it, the car was pretty silent but now it has a knocking sound going on.

I have checked and re tightned up everything and I still get this sound coming from the motor. Any help would be appreciated.

Probably spraypaint in the intake ports.

It may be your Butterflies knocking. The spring will get lose and they slap open and shut Take a screw driver and push them closed and see if it goes away.

In all seriousness. check the front butterfly, it could have stuck open. Could ask me stuff like this if you wouldnt have blocked me on facebook...

Butterflies.

Unplug the IMRC solenoid at the rear of the intake and see if the sound disappears. If it does, then it's the butterflies.

It's the front butterfly, When i did all the mod work to it, the front one stuck open....Because Wright Built Butterflies.

My wife didnt like the comments lol. So I did it to please her. You say its stuck, anyway of fixing it?

I'm sorry your wife has the pants on. Yeah, the actuator near the vacuum baffle, tap it, it should close when the car is running. Do it while the car is running.
