Sorta cares
I ordered a front strut tower brace from Keystone Powdercoating a while ago, and now that I've installed it I thought I'd post a little something here. I ordered it in late february. I waited a week... still no STB. I emailed Scott, the owner, and asked him what the story was. He said it was delivered already. I checked the UPS tracking info... hadn't been shipped. Apparently, within minutes of my order, a guy named Jason Hart from SC ordered a product from them as well, and the two orders got mixed up somehow.
Anyway, after that got sorted out, two days later I got mah nice shiny STB! He threw in a bunch of extra decals for the delay, three of which are on my car now
.
It looks sooooooooooooo nice. Since the page on ebay made such a big deal about bending other bars over your knee. So, when I opened the rediculously well-packaged box up, what do you think the first thing I did was? I karate-kneed the bar in my most earnest effort to bend it. I pretty much broke my kneecap, and that was it.
Folks, if/when you get one, don't try to bend it over your knee.
It is made out of really thick steel, and was beautifully powdercoated, as I would expect. Installation was a breeze, and took less than 10 minutes, and that included jacking the car up by the subframe to pre-load the bar. Steering feel is NIGHT AND DAY, I shit you not. I can't even begin to describe the difference it makes, but suffice it to say that it is WELL worth the $160 it costs. (I got the black one btw)
Anyway, Scott was incredibly nice, and dealt with my slight pissiness with the utmost professionalism lol (hey, it *was* $160, that's a lot for me!). He had the problem solved and turned around within days. I am superbly impressed!
+1 for KPC!
