I finally got the car that I have posted about recently. I have no idea what the code is for the keypad. Where is the master code located? I know on the F150s, its on a box under the dash by the steering column. Any idea?

Soon, I will be pulling the valve cover to see what has gone wrong. It apparently has no compression on the front bank. It has 107k on it, so I am pretty sure you all know what prob. happened.

Under the dash towards the center up from the gas pedal. On a black box with a white sticker. The number is upside down too just to make it even more interesting. And sometimes partially covered by black tape that will pull off some of the numbers.

Paul I was going to ask the same question. The black box you are refering to, is it the keyless entry module. If so mine is grey on my 97 and black on my 94. I did find a number on the grey entry control module that was six digits. Are the GEN III's six digits vice 5 digits on the GEN II's?

Thanks Curtis

That's what I was looking at. I went and double checked and noticed the 5 digit code in letters 4 times the size of the 6 digits I was refering to in my first post. It's amazing how you can overlook something so obvious.

Your code is in LETTERS?! :oogle:

Just messin with ya

Thanks all! I finally had a bit of time to look for it today.. I had to get a mirror and light to read the thing. It was on the backside of the box. What a pain. I'm no little guy, trying to get into the floor board. What a show.. :)
