The entry keypad on the driver's door pillar will start flashing for no reason when it is parked. This causes the battery to die after a couple days. I've done all of the things like disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, looked for any fuses that I could pull, hooked up a diagnostic tool, and finally took it to a Ford dealer...nothing has worked...can you guys help...PLEASE...I have a 2010 SHO that works fine...the problem is on her 2016 Taurus Limited
Thanking you in advance,

Sound like the pad is bad? Its touch sensitive so if it thinks it's being touched all the time I could see it causing a drain. There is pid data that can be monitored with a scan tool for the pad. This will tell you if the bcm is seeing a false input.

historically there are lots of issues with the touchpad keypad. when I was at Lincoln, a big share of the lease returns needed that replaced because they didn't work and those were only 3 years old...

This is an old post so hoping you all get an email notification that I have a question. I haven't noticed my keypad flashing on/off but I am experiencing a parasitic drain. Yesterday I pulled fuses and the biggest culprit was fuse 5 (Transmission Shifter Solenoid, Keyless Keypad). What was your solution to fix your keypad, and might I be seeing a similar problem?
