Yea.. I kinda have that same question. I never had one with any of my SHO's, and wouldnt' mind one for this 92. Should I look for a lil black box in the trunk?

Edit : Nevermind.. forgot I already have an alarm w / keyless entry.. :)

I just bought a 94 mtx with remote keyless entry, my other 2 SHOs have keyless entry without remotes. The only difference I saw in the little black box in the trunk that controls the keyless is that on my 94 the box has a wire connected to it that looks like the wire for the radio antenna. Maybe the radio antenna works with the remote to recieve the signal

It could.. an antenna is an antenna. The one I use for my radio in the garage, is just a 5" peice of copper tied into the electrical systems ground in the garage. :) Now all the wire in the walls is my antenna. :)

Yeah. I can't recall ever seeing a GenII without remote. I'm sure if you sourced the module number it would indicate whether it was remote operated.

92's dont have the remote option. but you can install the module from a 93-95 with a little work. my 95 didnt have a remote with it when i bought it, but I found one in a sable at the junkyard and it took less than a minute to program it in the parking lot. turn the ignition on, but dont start the car. jumper the two wire connector in the trunk and then press lock or unlock on the remote. its that simple.
