keyless entry and wont start..?

hello, i have a problem with my 95mtx, i just drove over to a buddies house, shut the car off but did not lock doors, when i got back in ,the keyfob remote would not unlock the doors so i could start it, no clicking or anything, and the domelight and maplights will not come on, but headlights and dash lights, and fuelpump all come on with turn of key, but the remote wont unlock the security anti theft device so the car wont start....? could a fuse be blown..? i dont have the owners manuel so i dont know wich fuse is what...? any help, anybod had this problem...? thanks... stuck in ohio.... ps i got to get this fixed because my buddie loaned me his geo metro to drive home.... oh the shame...lol

The factory remote keyless entry (RKE) does not provide any starter motor interlock for security purposes.

Is yours a factory or aftermarket system? If aftermarket, you will have to find out how it was installed.

If it is factory RKE, let us know if you have a moonroof.

it has a sticker on the window that reads, protected by ford security system, and my rke is a ford factory one, i have no moon roof, with my car you have to use the rke to unlock the doors before it will start, even if the doors are already unlocked, you still have to push the button on the rke.... it does not have remote start... just lock and unlock, and i dont have keyless entry on the door... it is a 95 mtx

You have a dealer installed alarm system,thats not the same as factory installed.The alarm system installed is probably made by Chapman (after market).Look under dash near colum and remove black box.splice all wires back to original.

haw...... i fixed it ...just a blown fuse... yea..., now if i could just get my 93atx fixed i would be doing alright, thanks for the info on the after market alarm i was under the impression it was factory...
