Sometimes on a sticker in the front door jamb area... passenger side... should also be on the box in the trunk as well. Gotta pull your carpet back to see it.

Under the driver side of the dash, there should be a black or grey box (cannot remember), not the fuse box. On the side of the box is a white sticker with a five digit number. It's hard to see as it is probably on the side facing the firewall, but it should be there. Good luck!

Right above the gas pedal. think the numbers are facing the passenger side though. Grab a light and get ready to bend the **** outta your back.

So i found out that when I hit my 5 digits it unlocks, then when i hit the last 3 pads it opens the trunk, so what do I hit to lock it?

Thanks,
Jerry

^ What he (shouup) said. It will be hard to see since it's facing the passenger side - I used a small round dental-type mirror to be able to see the numbers. I found on mine, there was electrical tape wrapped around the box covering the last digit. As I peeled the tape back it pulled the label, ruining it and the number. Fortunately it was only the last digit and I was able to figure it out, good ol' trial and error.

The following applies to any Taurus of any year/generation with a keypad, also applies to other models.
If you type in the 5 digit code then press 3/4 all doors unlock.
If you type in the 5 digit code then press 5/6 the trunk opens.
If you press 7/8 and 9/0 at the same time all doors lock.
You can type in the 5 digit code then press 3/4 and unlock all doors and also then press 5/6 to open trunk without having to re-enter 5 digit code, visa versa.

5 or 6 (same key) opens trunk when pressed within a few seconds of entering code.

8+9 (last 2 keys pressed together) locks all doors with no need to enter the code.

3 or 4 (same key) UNlocks all doors (instead of just the drivers) when pressed whithin a few seconds of entering the code.

Ok guys I looked on the side of the doors and the trunk and I can't find my code. I also looked under the dash above the gas pedal. Man that hurts when you do that. I see were there the code was taped on the black box but it is not there anymore. The tape is hanging off the box so someone already has moved it. Is there another way for me to find the code?

If all else fails, go to Gen 1 & 2, Electronics and Audio, and look for first sticky, Key Pad Code.
It shows you a way that you can "read" your code, based on the solder points of the resistors. I am guessing the box is the same for the next generation.
Hope it helps and good luck.

I found it. I had been looking all over the number. I saw four numbers and a piece of tape covering one number. I punch the first four digits and I tried hitting the first button and it worked. Thanks guys. Now does anyone know where I could get some HID lights.

I did that too. I had 3 numbers and guessed the last two. Got lucky after a few tries.
