Are there any tricks to breaking into my SHO? The key is sitting and the drivers seat, and I have the Key FOB but the battery is dead.

Are there any tricks to popping the hood from the front to get to the battery? Or do I just have to go down the door with the slim jim? I just want to make sure before I am sticking crap down in the door. Thanks.

You don't know the keyless entry code?

Try taking the batteries out of the remote, tweak the contacts out a bit to ensure a good contact, put back together and push the button hard, repeadetly ... or get a couple new 2016 batteries at the corner store for it.

Other than that, slim jim

I didnt know the keypad code for over a year before I finally spent the time to squeeze down under the dash and find it.

Good luck on getting your keys out. Some shops have an inflateable air bag that prys the door open just slightly to get a wire inside to push the unlock button.

No, I have the Key FOB, but the battery in the CAR is dead. I can get to the cable going to the hood release from underneath the front, but I can't get the hood to pop. I wanted to get a booster pack on it instead of sticking stuff down in the door.

On the keycode thing there are 2 codes that work on mine. There is the number that is under the steering wheel and the door would also unlock if i kept pressing the 1-2 button.

Does the 1-2 button thing work with anyone else???

I ended up pulling the top of the door out enough to stick a wire down in the car and hooking the key that was laying on the drivers seat. I tried to pop the hood from underneath but wansn't able to get it. There is no good place to grab exposed cable.

Does anyone know why this would work, seems pretty stupid if you ask me. I wonder if it works on every gen 3?

Just tried it on my 97 and it was a no go. I would have to say that a previous owner programmed the second code (programable code) to 1/2, 1/2, 1/2, 1/2, 1/2. If you are the first owner than maybe the dealership did it for some strang reason, other than that its just a malfnction.

i think you can put a jumper cable from the alt output and the frame (ground) and use it to charge the battery.
