For those that don't know Ken had passed away back in the early Spring, Winnie has decided that it's time to sell the car and and some of his other things. They have been doing yard sales to move some of it but she called me about the car wanting 1000.00 for it... I told her that we can get more for the car and we should do a cookout and car raffle.. She said that would be great and that's what we are going to do.
Ill be getting the tickets off to the printer today and will have physical tickets hopefully by the weekend and will need help selling tickets, they will be 20.00 each and all proceeds are going to Kens Widow Winnie..
I'm going down to get the car Tomorrow or the next day and can post pics, the tickets will be 20.00 and I plan on making 100 tickets , hopefully passing her off 2000.00 for this car.
The car is a 1989 SHO that was used for auto crossing, IIRC the car had better than stock parts, and the car was driven to Carlisle Pa for the All Ford Nationals in PA so it was a decent car.. It is missing some interior parts just an FYI, like a head liner.
For those that are in other parts of the country, I will offer free storage for this car until you can come get it (within reason, not 2 years)or I can also deliver the car (This side of the Mississippi river please) maybe a bit further if needed but this would not be for free but would not break the bank either.
For those that want a ticket and you are not local, you can paypal me the money and I will make sure that you get your name on a ticket if you paypal for a ticket the ticket would cost a whopping 21.00! My paypal address is [email protected]. DO NOT LIST BENEFIT OR RAFFLE WHEN SENDING MONEY!!! Just list Ken Thompson's name.. I guess its against the Rules of a business account to accept those types of transactions........Paypal called me to ***** me out about it.
Local guys: I will call you when the books of tickets are ready to go, and ask that everyone takes a book to sell.. Book will be 10 tickets, also would like you guys to bring "something" food or drink.. I will be buying the hot dogs and Hamburgers but could use some help with the food this time..
Beth has approved this to be moved out to all sections of the forum, so others in different sections please re post this in your local section. And as said before I will get pics of the car and post them here.. Lets help Winnie get some money for this car.
