shittin me... I just got ****** up last night

2 speeding tickets in one stop, imagine that shit, both over 30mph....

atleast he didn't try to give me a dui

worst part is I gotta goto court at the jail..... thats never good, we got like 3 courthouses and I gotta goto the jailhouse one.....

hope they got a happy hour, just the tickets alone are 700 bucks, plus court fees, probably gonna get a lawyer, traffic school whatever

I'm just glad I didn't drop it down into 3rd in that corner and really pick up some speed

got me going through an on-ramp, was in an unmarked SUV, didn't know it was a cop behind me, was like midnight and nobody in front of me, so I hit it through the corner

I normally go through there over 100 so I guess it coulda been worse

and I had a couple drinks too

no radar, says he "paced" me

today was my court date

couldn't have gone better unless they threw out the charges, I represnted myself and took it like a man, wasn't gonna pay a lawyer when I could do the same thing he would do.

The judge was a nice woman, she whent easy on me, I pled no contest in the first place, she said she would give me school and a court fee for that, then she flipped a page in my folder and saw the next ticket... she gave me a bad look at that point and sat and thought for a minute, she asked me if I got that ticket the same night, and at the same stop, then asked me if the same officer wrote both tickets... all of those questions were answered with yes... said she would throw out the lower speed one if I pled guilty to the higher speed one(they really are the same charge, guess it just looks worse at a higher speed), I guess she felt sorry for me or thought the cop was a ********

so heres what could have happened, each ticket was 341.00 dollar fine, that charge can carry a 1000 dollar civil penalty and 6 months liscense suspension.... so double that, and its almost 3 grand in fees with loss of liscense for a year

I walked out of there for a 91 dollar court fee and a 4 hour driving improvement course... damn I'm happy as shit, relieves a lot of stress off of us right now, we are broke, and need money, these tickets were the last thing I needed.... wouldn't have thought I was going to get off this easy.........
