I got a fitting to tap into it with a seal. 1/4inch vaccum line adapter. Ill clamp a hose to it and clamp a bolt to the other end with a seal. Sometimes the simplest caveman ways are still good. Havent driven it yet either

Simple can be effective. No need to overengineer. Just gotta stand up to boost pressures.

I did make a mod for the car back when i bought the car because its electric throttle control. I found a spicket type vaccum connector. That when its closed its a straight vaccum line and when its opened a little or fully it creates a leak. Its not on the car when i drive. Just on it for when im alone cleaning intake. i install on rear pcv on valve cover. Turn the ****. Idle raises. open fully. Idle raises to above 3500rpm. I only use it for maitnence. Then i just put pcv hose off of it and back on it like stock. Redneck inginuity. It works. Handy if your alone and dont trust a brick or a spare muffler on the gas pedal

Not much oil in it. I usually have it open for 1500rpm and its steady rpm also. Helps with seafoam. I put seafoam in right at throttle plate with map out. I was cleaning it like every 3 months or so. But i may do it more often now. I use crc intake and turbo cleaner. I put that into big vaccum inlet on pipe right behind filter. I havent really driven yet to see if the problem is fixed with the hole in intercooler now. Idle is alittle better. Still a little choppy at idle but in drive its also still a little choppy. But when i take foot off the brake it dont misfire surge no more. Ill have to drive it some more to see if it clears up more. No cel light yet. Intake may need cleaned again though also. Ill probly change all spark plugs just so i know they are good.

This thing smoked like **** yesterday and day before. Before i put weep hole in. I guess all the oil being brought into the engine. White smoke with a hint of oil. Was like running a old car with a external oil pump rigged to exhaust again . Oil in crankcase is full. Antifreeze is full and good. Looked like condensation smoke with some oil added. My buddy owned a few saturns. i know what oil burning looks like haha.

Yea it dosnt matter if car is hot or cold. I usually let it run for a minute before i open pcv to a leak. Its fine on a car for maitenence. Most older cars 60s-70s carb to take vaccum line off brake booster. Plug it. Take vaccum line off vaccum advance and plug it. As its raising the rpm then if it has pcv like my 500ci cadillac. You have to remove pcv and open it to a leak to set idle or timing. If you let it run for a while with a vaccum leak it can cause issues on any engine but for 30mins is fine at 1500rpm. Plus sho is speed density so an intake leak of somesort shouldnt hurt

Never had an issue with our Saturn, but it was a 1991 MY too.

I still think you should look at the pcv valve and separator, but new spark plugs are never a bad idea :)

Yea im gunna order jlt one. Its pretty cheap and simple unless you guys recommend another type? Yea i think 91 being the first year for saturn they all was twin cam i believe. My buddy went through 4 saturn engines. 3 single cams and 1 twim cam. And when his 95 sw2 twin cam blew he put a single cam in it from his 96 sc1. Ill find a picture of how we swap motors on the side of the road up here in perry county Pa

My buddy is a electronics engineer. He is real smart with car wiring and systems. He made his saturn a manual with switches on dash to completely control the tranmission. But he found a way on my car to put a switch on the tranny to turn off the rear like it does when awd overheats and says awd off. So if you wanna break a shp drag record. Put switch in to run full fwd. Take fenders off. Run slicks up front. We simulated it on my 15 sho already. He did something into parking break to make car think ebrake is on when its not. And i can tell you. With my current set up. Flooring it is no traction through 3rd gear on a 80 degree day. Idk if its a power difference on a dyno. But with slicks and being able to heat them up you can maybe get better quarter mile launches

My buddy just told me with the ebrake on it puts the car into fwd mode so its not too much pressure on the rear and so it can be towed. First click enables fwd mode so it can be towed by the rear. First click still holds alittle because i have new brakes so its not real good to click the ebrake in and spin fronts but with rear totally disabled its nuts with my livernois tune

Really what people want is a RWD-biased system instead of the current FWD-biased setup. The launch is where the SHO outshines even Hellcats!

I dont know what wear and tear will result on your SHO from the changes made, definitely keep a close eye on it.

It was just one time deal with fwd mode. I never driven fwd before and i dont plan on it again. I have a 08 ls3 vette, 90 miata, 94 awd astrovan and a 76 cadillac and 15 sho. Fwd just aint my thing. Cant control the rear haha

This sho is also my first sideways motor. By the looks of how awd works on it. I just scratch my head and wonder what itll be like with a rightway motor in it straight to the rear instead of all these 90 degree bends in the powertrain. No wonder it can only handle 600hp and has 25% powerloss to the wheels (my estimate). But hey its a pretty quick 4500lb car with a sideways motor, ill give it that

Sorry guys ive been real busy with work this week down at Andrews near Baltimore and havent driven the car much, maybe a couple miles because they pick me up from my house in a van usually to transport me. But when i jacked the car up and let intercooler drain i almost got a quart of oil out. Not kidding. But driving it little by little the cel is gone. The idle is really getting better day after day. I plan on changing all spark plugs and cleaning intake again on saturday. But when driving it literally feels like i gained 50hp. Vbox says 3.3second 0-60. It used to say around 3.9-4.4 but then again it is colder out and maybe i hit the throttle just right that one time to get the 0-60 that low. But it really does feel more powerful then it ever did. And it dont even smoke no more, like i cant even make it smoke any more when driving. Im gunna miss that haha

Wow, fantastic! Quart is unbelievable! Boy, glad to have that crud outta there! Frankly if you have the time, take it out and Clean it thoroughly per the manual. Who knows how much inefficiency is still malingering. A borescope may not work, but a thermal imager might.

I am actually fairly close to Andrews, in the Silver Spring area. Maybe we can get together some time :)
