Do you really have to disconnect the negative battery connection for the install? I hear some say it resets computer others say no. Any help appreciated.

Just throw it in there. It's not really going to do much.

Almost anything you install will tell you to disconnect the battery for some reason. Go ahead and throw her in there. You won't notice any performance gains but this is what mine sounded after the install, bone stock otherwise.
