Hello,

This weekend I will install the Ford performance plugs 1 range cooler, 170 degree thermostat, ford 3 bar MAP sensor and MSD coils. I am waiting for GH to email my tune. I sold my Wiley RG500 Gamma for my new to me 2015 FPIS TT.
The car came from Utah with 2600 idle hours and 5600 hours. The perfect sleeper. I'm 51 and the father of 4 girls, 2 are twins and they turned my hair grey so I finally have another toy to go along with my wifes 2016 Explorer Sport which is all stock. I was an ASE certified mechanic in the early 90's and then went into the Army and then when to school. I am a mechanical engineer by trade and have also been a mechanic and flight critical safety inspector on Blackhawks and Chinooks. I currently am a field engineer that works on semi conductor manufacturing equipment.

Anyway I'm impressed on how hard this machine pulls as stock from 1500 on up and can't wait to install all the parts this weekend.
I'll give my feedback as soon as I have the tune loaded. I have to drive to VA for a service visit on Monday and hope to load the tune while I'm up there for the drive home.

Stay safe and healthy..
Richard.

I hope you got your tune, because you cannot run the 3 bar without a tune. It will run like crap and throw codes.

You can do all the other stuff, and the sensor only takes a couple minutes to swap, so you should be ready when the tune arrives.

Thank you! I installed the plugs and MSD coils yesterday and today will install the thermostat. The plugs that came out of it looked brand new. I checked the trans fluid last weekend after driving for 20 miles and it looked very clean and almost no smell. The sherrifs department that owned this really took good care of it. It certainly drives like they did too.

on the T stat make sure the little hole on the main part is sitting at 12 O clock. and put the stat and 3 bar in at the time of the tune. Changes your fan temps for time on.

BTW do you all have the Forscan excel sheet? Im expecting my new updated scanner tomorrow that will allow me to change more options.
Thank you
A lot of the options are available without the sheet. There will be 2 menus for most modules. The As-Built menu will require the sheet and Hexadecimal modifications. The other menu will allow you to select an option and then to change it. I would highly recommend making only a couple changes and recording what they are. Sometimes unintended things will occur and it is easier to undo if you only have 1 or 2 changes and you know what they are. For example, I changed the number of flashes for the lane change feature. It ended up making it so my left turn signal would not automatically disable. Also, before you do anything, save your As-Built data. The sheet @76FoMoCo sent has a link to where to find your As-Built data if you need it.

An update. I installed the tune on Monday afternoon and proceeded to drive 200 miles one way, worked a couple days and then drove home this evening. WOAH! I love it! It's just what I was looking for. Reminds me back in the day when I built Saab 99 Turbos for rallying and fun and 900 Turbos too. The most recent vehicle I tuned was my old F350 6,0 and my Yamaha FZ1 (Power commander).
I really like how docile it can be and then rip when called upon. I really like the way it shifts too. Effortless to get over 100 mph. On they way up and way back I averaged 22.6 mpg at 70 to 75 mph so very close to what the FPIS was rated for at 23 highway. Tomorrow I will do the data logging and send it to GH to make sure all is ok and offer any improvements.

I would recommend this to anyone and when my wifes Xsport runs out of the Ford ESP warranty I'll likely do the same to it.
Thanks for all your inputs.

My SHO is very close to yours, Wiley. Has over 95k and been tuned since 17k. Zero repair issues. If you want more, just follow SM105k's lengthly thread on these pages. I love this car and have decided to keep it indefinitely.

from one Engineer to another, welcome to the Ecoboost Addiction! Turned 95k this week on mine, tuned since day 2 of ownership at 22k miles back in 2017.

Great to hear. I was already considering a GH tune for my 2011 SHO. It currently has an SCT tune and the only mods are CAI and plugs. Certainly will follow-up on GH!
