235/45/17 Kumho Ecsta Supra 712s for my 17x8" REVOs... Everybody sooth my nerves and my mom's that these WILL work! I ordered them with my eyes closed, saying a little prayer that they won't rub... Didn't help the nerves much when the guy from tirerack called my house and said that his computer told him that they may rub... ERrggg... frown

ohio is for hustlers
I've always understood it to be the width and/or offset of the wheel that caused the rub, not the tire. IE, if your tire rubs and it is an appropriate size for the rim, it's most likely due to the rim not fitting correctly (bad offset/too wide), not the tire. Of course if you put some sort of huge tire on the rim it would rub from a ton of bulge. I'd be pretty surprised if your tires rub.

What is the offset on the 17x8" wheels? I am running 17x8 with the same brand and size tires and have no rubbing. My offset is 40mm.

42mm MAY fit, but here's a chance the tire will hit the strut tube in the rear. Spacers would take care of that though. 38mm would also be good, but there's not too many wheels outt here with htat offset. 35mm offset is common, and will probably fit on a Gen2, but will stick out pretty far in front. If it's a Gen1, 35mm would hit the rear fenders.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure these are a 40mm offset. I did the math and looked at a few websites and it should work. Everybody just seemed to go along with me in a hesitant "SHOULD". I'm looking forward to playing around with the tires though, they will make a big difference over the 215/60/16 hakks that I have on there for the meantime :D The tread is so heavy and each individual tread is slotted, so that handling stinks... I can feel the car just kinda float around turns. Can't wait to bang 'em out on my 235s squint
