I bought it off a lot, no real info on it. Very clean exterior, ripped drivers seat, but decent interior, everything still works. It needs a clutch for sure, I will probably step up to a strip/street clutch in anticipation of mods. It also needs valve cover gaskets, and a front wheel bearing. What else should I do to this car? Full 120k mile tune up? Is there any way to tell if this has been done? I know it's better safe than sorry, but I'd hate to spend all the money on this if it was done 15k miles ago. On the other hand, it might not have been. Should I be able to tell by the general condition of the engine whether the maintenance has been done or not? if it hasn't , I will do the 120k mile, hopefully put a nice exhaust on and make a decent CAI. I will wait for the other mods until it's in top mechanical condition.

Nice buy. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pick it up for?

I would perform the normal maintenance on this new car, regardless of when, or if it was done last. Because you know it's worth it if, especially if something goes wrong and costs you three times the price because of failure to do it. Just my advice.

Actually my advice is to not buy an SHO! JJ, theres no price on cool...besides what's money, it comes-it goes. Have a little fun.

Good Luck.

On a unrelated note I'd like to say that I like your name, SHOblime.

Thanks, it took a while to come up with an appropriate handle. I picked the car up for $1600, as it had been chilling on the lot for about three weeks and I knew they wanted it gone. Other than the driver's seat it's very clean. I guess I will start the full 120k tune up, after the clutch is in.
