Just another N2O Question...

So ive been toying with the idea of a Dry kit For my SHO.... Zex 82011 in particular... and ive found the kit, but i have also found others, that are used for like mustangs and stuff that are $200 cheaper... now im quite the bargain hunter, but these have like 100-150 shot nozzles... could i just buy a 50-75 shot nozzle kit and use this mustang kit for my SHO and get the same results of the 82011 or do i need that specific NMU?

IIRC you have to program the NMU correct?

EDIT: i guess what im saying is are all Zex kits the same even though they have different PN's (besides nozzles and provided they are dry kits)

from personal experience, i would suggest goin with a wet kit, tis a lot easier on the engine. but if your set on the dry then yes you should be able to jus switch the nozzle and be good to go.

Really..? I could've sworn wet kits could pool fuel in the intake. There's a reason just about everyone uses dry kits around here.

Do not go with a wet kit on the SHO unless you are going to do a direct port setup! They fuel will puddle in the intake and cause the intake to backfire and quite possibly, blow up.

theorhetically , you can use the mustang kit, but I'd contact zex to be safe. The nozzles are interchangable betwen the kits as Zex only sells one style of nozzles.

Yes you could buy the 82011 Zex kit and use higher flow nozzles for it. You don't have to program the NMU for them. The Zex NMU is only programmed for WOT, not for different sized jets. Just make sure the higher flow jets are compatible with the Zex setup. I ended up just buying the 82011 kit and ordering higher flow jets (100hp) from Zex directly for an extra <$10 shipped to me. Probably the safest and best way to go this route.

hmmm yeah what im saying is that i found a kit thats like called an 82014 (For alot cheaper) i think and it says its for mustangs.... but it has all the stuff a 82011 has, except it has larger jets, so i can just buy smaller jets i was just wondering if the only differences between ZEX dry N2O kits are the smaller jets... thats the impression i seem to be getting...

do you program the volts that is WOT into the NMU, i tried using ZEX.com to find installation instructions, but they dont have them for dry kits (i couldnt find them) because i think if you program them for WOT they are interchangable...

but the only issue I'm thinking may be a concern, is that maybe the way they add fuel is different between 4/6 cylinders and 8 cylinders. You'r best bet would be to contact zex and ask them.

Do not use a wet kit unless it is a direct port fogger ! The SHO intake is not designed to carry fuel only air . Fuel WILL puddle and DETONATE! Zex 82011 or a direct port fogger like the NOS sportsman fogger are the only one's I'd use

yeah i know... i already knew that, my question was on the compatability of the two kits and if they can be interchanged... i contacted ZEX just waiting for their reply

The newer NMU's are programmable so they would be interchangeable. Even if it is an older kit the 82014 should engage at 14.5v. A SHO tps can make this voltage at WOT so you will be fine.

the little "new" clutch wont hold my engine now, this always keeps me from getting nitrous when I jones for it, so I just cheat or just take my ass whipping.
so much extra power to **** my clutch, transmission, axles, motor,mounts.
I wussed out, im getting old

Nitrous manifold is just that. A stock manifold, with 6 nozzles installed. The nozzles are connected with hard lines to distrobution blocks mounted on top of the manifold. Simply connect your nitrous solenoid and fuel solenoid and you're ready to go.

Don't have any pictures as the manifold is in storage. But if you are serious, I can snap some, next time I'm out that way.
