i mean there are a bunch of like cobra's and a lightning, a boss 302 (slow), and even hopped up 289 mustangs, like 64's with slicks and everything.... no one can do anything. the only thing remotely close is a turbo civic crx that "supposedly" runs high 4's in the 8th lol. but i haven't seen that guy to even try him yet. gosh...only the cop cars can get close (new dodge chargers), and even those get shut away. (shh.. lol) there is a corvette supossedly running right about where i am, but he won't race (scared I guess..that whole girl in a taurus whooping is embarrassing lol....) but i think that would be a good one. There is one Cobra trying to get me to come down and race for ***** and giggles..prolly take him up since they just race for props.... but damn, there is nothing around here.... alright Paul, let's move to texas.

I'd rather change the CV shaft than nuke 3rd gear in the trans.
I'd also rather have the outer portion of the axle break than the splines that enter the differential... I've had that happen and it's not fun to have to pull the opposite axle out to pound out the broken one from the other side.

only if you have a quaife you can do that
Not true. You can use a long and skinny punch to make it pass the pinion shafts from the opposite side.![]()

I currently do get a good deal of wheel hop even with solid engine mounts, my guess I need stiffer front and rear springs because the car lifts from the front atleast 3-4" during standing takeoff's. I welcome any idea's on curing wheel hop.

bringing this back to life, I wanted to know how much wheel hop ur getting?
far as I know Honda guys are putting over 500 hp on stock axles, they are the same axle's since I have personally changed the inner shaft on mine, so taking a wild guess that wheel hop play's some factor in snapping axle's.
