ok i just took out the 80mm maf and put the stock filter and stock maf and box back on. the car is running right now so far no real jumping idle. i am lookignm coolant but i think it is more so near the radiator. i guess after driving it tonight and tomorrow (will be highway) i can get a feel for what it is doign completely stock.

how much did the CID cost for you to get replaced?

now what would i have to do if it is the maf sensor itself?

i let the car sit for liek 2 hours and then started it to go to out and i had the jumping idle and it almost stalled. then it went away. i went to my destination and the car sat for close to 2 hours and then it seemed is was back to normal. i guess the real test will be tomorrow when i let the car sit over night for about 8 hours before i go to work. could this be my maf sensor or my lpm despite the fact it still did it adfter i removed my lpm? because i am considering outting the stuff back on to look.

Sounds more like the AIC is needing cleaned or replaced. I didn't read back if you had already done that or not. The bouncing idle that I suffered only occurred with the LPM installed and the 80mm maf connected. When I would disconnect (unplug) the electrical connection to the maf the idle bounce stopped imediately. I originally thought that the MAF was the problem until I swapped it out with the known working 80mm maf. I just wanted to make sure you weren't suffering from the same problem that I had.

yeah i already cleaned it. my car has been sittign over night so when i start it up i guess that will be the test sicne it will be completely back to stock. i may try if i ahve time in the nbext several days to put the 80 mm maf on w/ the lpm and w/o the lpm. i got my maf used so i have no idea what i will do. if i do put the 80mm maf w/o the lpm would that naturally make the idle jump?

It's a clear and simple case of SHO flu. Mine's been doing that the last couple of days too. That's why I finally decided to read this post and see what was going on here. TOO STRANGE!

Mine only hunts for the first few minutes, when coming to a stop. At idle it goes between 600 & 900k. After it runs for about 5 minutes or so it's fine. It has cut out on me 2 or 3 times now.
