There's a line you don't want to cross when it comes to mods. You can go from tasteful to tacky real quick........don't cross the line and you'll be fine. IMO, Lambo doors are quite a ways across the line.

Some people may not like lambo doors some people might like them. I figured there was going to be mixed opinions on what I have done. I think it's going to look really good and I think it's going to draw more attention to my car then already gets drawn to it. The doors are really going to turn heads. People aren't going to expect someone getting out of a taurus lifting doors up. It's all about being different to me. This is a mod to set me apart from the other SHOs out there.

I think the doors will look awesome. If they were less expensive, I would do it. If everybody had them, there wouldn't be any more door dings.

Some people i think are threatend by other people.... Or something i dono... If i dont like something some one is doing i still give them props for moving forward in being diffrent... Some people just dont see it i guess...

Cowl Hood? I've got that. Rims? I've got those too. Custom paint? Oh, I dont have that. But if you ask me, re-painting a car to look like a bass boat with the stock color, isn't "custom" paint. To each thier own, but I think 'lambo' doors on any four door are stupid. There aren't many options for the rear to make it look decent. And every set of lambo doors I've seen on a car has looked flimsy when they are open. Again, to each thier own.

Sure everyone has thier own opinion, but the way you state it is ignorant as all ****... Its a show car...Simple as that. Im not trying to stick my nose where it doesent belong, but what is it your trying to understand... Theres nothing to understand.

What I dont understand is why its so hard for you guys to accept something that you dont like. I know John, and I know how much thought he puts into this car. Why cant people respect that? Instead they talk about imaginary lines.. Cmon. Its not like its Flourecent orange with blue rims and an adjustable wing!

PS. He has custom suede seats.

He has a ton of work and other things done to this car and he takes pride in what he has done to it.Sure we all do things that we may or may not think is ok but give him a little bit of credit for doing something different.I personally have seen this car quite a few times and also have a good amount of pics of this thing and let me tell you this car cannot be appreciated enough until you see it in person.Call it what you may but this car is a **** of a lot nicer than a lot of the cars we hear about here on the forum.John dont let the negativety stop you from what you wan t. do...keep up the good work

See, that's just it. It seems to me you're trying too hard to impress other people with your car when it should really only be about what you like. I mean, sure it's nice to get compliments on the stuff you've done to a car, but when you're doing it for the sake of getting compliments it kinda looses it's appeal.


If you're going for different, look at SHOWYA's car. That's a good different, his car turned out AWESOME!! Lambo doors, on the other hand, are a bad different. That, and I realized how played out Lambo doors are when I saw them on a GTP and a Lightning at a small town car show this summer.

I have spent lots of money on my car. I love sho2nv's car I myself think my car looks similar to his. It really is in many ways the only thing I don't have yet is a painted intake. My rims are different also. When I first saw sho2nvs sho I wanted mine to look just like that. Now it does, but needs to be different. SHOs would bore people if they were all the same thats why mine has to be different. I'm sorry if people have problems with what I'm doing but I will never stop modding my SHO because some person has a problem with it. I think as a 19 yr old kid with a car like mine that I have worked my butt off to do things to should atleast gain some respect even if you don't like what I'm doing. Car finish date is coming closer should be thursday.

the thing is he LIKES TURNING HEADS WITH IT. that way having more attention for his car is hwat he likes, i mean come on, when someone puts a new style blower on thier car, or widens the wheel wells, or the first 3.2 swap, it was something noone had ever done before. this man's a pioneer, and i look forward to seeing it.

My car is made to be a SHOw car. I have done a lot of things to alter the appearance of the car. I'm not tryin to impress people by putting lambo doors on my car. Like Ace said its impressive when you see it in person already. I always have my car clean and looking good. This is something I wanted to do because I don't think anyone with a Sho has ever done it.

I appreciate the positive attitude of you guys. I hope the doors will change some of your minds. I'm thinking it will. I will post tons of pics when it's done. I just can't wait to get the damn thing back though it's driving me insane without the car. lol
