That happened on my Gen III. Put everything back together after installing new valve cover gaskets, only to hear a hissing sound. Took everything apart to find the the coupler split all the way across. New coupler, problem solved.

SO it ran ALOT better. Still kinda stumbled if it droped to fast, but if it slowly let itself rev down it was good.. I let it warm up abit and coolant started to *** everywhere soo i get to look for the coolant hose spraying everywhere...

Haha, I saw only one of mine had a small chunk out of it, we'll see what happens when it runs.

Oh, on the 93?? soo do i need to worry about that big thing on the bottom of the TB? Like i said, coolant ****** everywhere and im hoping thats not the case because if it is, the intake and fuel rails have to come off... again... Started tearing that knuckle off so hopefully i can get that replaced by the end of the week.. So what do you think the best thing to do on this stabilizer is??

EDIT: I fixed the coolant temp sensor, so we can scratch that one off the list of things to do

two updates as of yesterday night..

1) We reattached the hose clamp that never got put on, and that pretty much stopped any coolant leak and...
2) We back the idle set screw all the way out, so that the IAC was completely comtrolling it, and while it dosen't sound well at all(exhaust hole:angelnot:) it idles all by itself at a crisp 850-900 RPM.

So we have fixed the idle, and the coolant leak. So it's getting down to re-tapping the steering stabilizer hole and replacing the knuckle. :thumb:

EDIT: I completely forgot to mention, Clay had me lay under the car and hold the shifter stabilizer bolt manually in the hole while he shifted it into neutral. So now we can let the clutch out while it's idling without worrying about it jumping off the jackstands

My bad! :nut:

My excuse is early morning wooziness:p
early morning wooziness is being rudely announced that it is time to get out of bed by the sound of reveille at 4AM only to wake up about 5 minutes prior knowing what is coming following the beep at 4AM. if any of that makes sense.

early morning wooziness could also consist of packing an entire night before going on a trip and then spending the next couple hours in the air putting tabs in a manual and highlighting the important parts missing out on precious hours of sleep and only finally getting to sleep on a bus ride at about 4PM after being awake for at least 30 hours.
