Have some serious leaks when taking my 92 through a car wash. First off the sunroof leaks, anyone else have this problem? Know a fix for it?

where can i get repalcement door weather stripping for my 92?

Also I have a leak somewhere around the lower windshield. When the car gets washed with high pressure i get some water on the passenger side floor board and the fan go crazy, any idea where it could be leaking ?

Thanks Guys

Thought I had a leak in the sun roof on my '89 too. Just for grins & giggles I blew through the drains with an air hose, A big booger of something came out the driver's side front, but no more leaks. Just my .02

+1 on ShoMotion93. The sunroof seal is not designed to seal the sunroof; it is meant merely to slow the leak down enough so that the four corner drains can drain the water. If these drains get blocked up, then the water will overcome the seal and leak into the passenger compartment. Find the drain hoses (open the sunroof) and blow the crap out of them with an air gun. $5 says this will fix your leak.

As for the door seal, the door on the SHO is the exact same as it is on every Taurus ever made of the same generation. Just go grab one off a junkyard taurus that looks good - or if you want ultimate piece of mind, JC Whitney makes them new. I'm sure RockAuto carries them. Same for all the rest of the doors, and the trunks.

I'm not really sure what to tell you for the hood seal. I will do some research if I get time and get back to you. Just make sure to bump this post or send me a PM if I forget (because, honestly, I probably will).

Ok I will try cleaning out the drains this week, thanks for the answers guys. I think I am just going to get all new door seals from jc wittney.Manly cause I get alot of wind noise form the door going down the road. The seals on the car now look like they have seen better days. Normally I wouldnt put thismuch effort into a driver but the car is a 92 with only 77K miled and is in excellent shape.

Onw more question for you guys. The trim that goes arond the windows with the felt. Anyone know if that is replaceable? Only reasn I ask is the car was a michigan car and on the drivers side I have some rust under that and it has caused the trim to bubble.
